Sammi Reid

Band Director
Sammi Reid was the band director for five years at Litton Middle School in MNPS, where  she was Teacher of the Year in 2021-22. Her main instrument is French horn, and she was  awarded the CMA Foundation Music Teachers of Excellence Award in spring 2022.  

Turner Hamilton

Assistant Band Director
Turner Hamilton is a recent graduate of Middle Tennessee State University, where he  played saxophone/woodwinds in the MTSU Wind Ensemble, Jazz Ensemble, and Band of Blue  Marching Band. Many of you may recognize him as OMS Band’s student teacher from the  Spring 2022 semester!

Aaron Farris (Percussion)

Mr. Farris is excited to start teaching lessons at Oliver Middle School.  Mr. Farris is an active percussion teacher at McGavock HS, Father Ryan HS, and The University of Cincinnati.  He has performed with many percussion groups including Blue Coats, Rhythm X, and the Cincinnati Bengals Drumline

Kate  Camplese-Affainie
(Bassoon)
Ms. Affainie is an elementary music teacher in MNPS and performs with various ensembles in the Nashville area.
